The appearance of a woman, claiming to be the daughter Einstein had with his first wife before they were married, sends Einstein falling down a metaphorical manhole. He attempts to find his way out by reshaping his personal chaos into an ordered universe governed by a unified field theory of grace and elegance which would prove that “God does not play dice with the universe.”
